The ULA Story
Our Story and Locations
Ula Clothing was established in 2007 originally named as "Pretty Useful" we started off with only a handful of gift products. We are based in a quirky old chapel, The Old Foundry Chapel, in Hayle, West Cornwall . In 2015 we ventured into the fashion sector and rebranded as Ula Clothing and Lifestyle, a Cornish boutique offering ladies fashion as well as carefully chosen home and gift products and quickly expanded to a second shop in St Ives. We take enormous care to seek quality garments and items. We aim
We pride ourselves on having a great team, who smile a lot and love being surrounded by (and showing off) all the fabulous things in the shop. We like to connect with our customers and our surroundings. We love to stock Celtic designers and have taken huge pleasure in watching some of these designers go from cottage industry to achieve great aplomb and success.
Our Brands and Collections
We started off with two ethical and Cornish clothing labels, EKO and Nomads and one high street name, Joules and very quickly sourced other clothing labels that supported our aim to encourage people to buy local, buy small and to buy ethical or sustainable clothing and products. We have worked hard to create a curated collection of the best quality brands. Where possible we source from UK manufactured locations or ethically certified factories. We stocked Lucy and Yak whilst they were still stocking independent shops and were one of their top stockists. We have stocked Bibico and King Louie. We continue to stock Nomads, Thought, Mistral, White Stuff - all fair trade ethical companies. We also aim to bring an element of uniquely Cornwall to our collections so you will find a large number of Cornish handmade products. We support many Etsy Cornwall Makers. We also support other UK manufacturing through Postcard from Brighton, Chalk and EKO.
